The 3-Point Shot in Men's D3 Hoops

Within the game of basketball, the three-point shot has achieved unprecedented status at every level from the school yard to Madison Square Garden. The collegiate game is no different.

NCAA Division III men’s hoops teams have seen the rising tide and jumped on board the boat. There are obviously more factors involved but one of the contributing factors to the rise of the three-point shot is Steph Curry who starting in 2012-13, lit the NBA on fire with his distance shooting. That started the trend in the pros and not so soon after, things started to change on every court in the U.S.
